THE TWO WOLVES
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that was going on inside himself.
He said, "My son, it is between 2 wolves. One is evil: Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego... The other is good: Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith..."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one I feed."

I have become even more deeply concerned about the state of the world. There is so much anger, so much venom, so much hatred. And, sadly, it is coming from Christians as well as non-Christians.
This is a first for E-Mail Ministry. I've never offered up a message/sermon from a pastor before but this one speaks to the heart of the problem, in my opinion. Some of you may be familiar with Pastor Rick Warren from his "Purpose Driven Life" book or his many other books or his many video teachings. I find his messages to be heartfelt, straight to the point and pertinent.
